Ok, so I’ve been having to do some screencasts for work, so I decided to experiment with one for my blog. Yeah yea, I know it’s crappy. If I decide to do another one, I’ll do a better job, this was just a quick experiment.

Normally, I wouldn’t post a video like this, but these women genuinely seem to actually be trying to hurt each other. While they obviously don’t have a lot of skills, they’re not terrible, and they all look to be from good-to-great shape.
While wearing provocative outfits, they seem to be legitimately trying to box each other. I can’t figure out if this is really women’s boxing or just some strange fetish video. The tall girl in the second fight actually has a decent jab.

I’m tired of all the pious boxing “experts” ranting on about what a travesty it is that David Haye and Dereck Chisora are *gasp* actually going to fight in a boxing ring.
These are the same men who LOVE Mike Tyson, a convicted rapist, who has bitten ears, tried to break arms, and used the word fa**ot repeatedly in interviews. They seem to conveniently forget about the press conference brawls Tyson had with Lennox Lewis. These men also worship Muhammad Ali, who had a straight-up brawl with arch-rival Joe Frazier. The hypocrisy these commentators have about the Haye/Chisora brawl is so laughable to me. You’d think they were working in a church, instead of one of the most brutal sports in the world. The bottom-line is that boxing is a tough, humiliating, blood-sport. And those that cover the sport conveniently ignore their own part in this violent sport. While, of course, I love boxing, it causes the men who box irreparable harm in some cases. It appeals, in some ways, to people’s basest instincts for violence and savagery. No amount of dressing the sport up, takes away from how violent the sport actually is.
So is it so shocking that David Haye and Dereck Chisora got into a two-minute scuffle? I don’t think so. And for Wladimir Klitschko to call the fight a “freakshow” after fighting Jean-Marc Mormeck, a cruiserweight half his size, is deeply hypocritical. At least Haye and Chisora are evenly matched fighters, both in their physical prime. I, for one, am looking forward to this fight more than any other heavyweight bout. It has already sold 17,000 tickets, and I know Chisora is going to pressure Haye, which should make for an entertaining fight!
The fact that Haye and Chisora and separated by a fence makes me laugh, though. What are they? Rabid animals, lol.

Strikeforce champion Ronda Rousey is scheduled to face Sarah Kaufman next in a grappler vs striker matchup. Hopefully, Sarah Kaufman will push Ronda past the first round, and learned something from Miesha Tates’s fight with Rousey.
As shown by the opening round, Ronda Rousey is very susceptible to strikes. If Tate had been a stronger striker, and not bum-rushed Rousey I believe the match could’ve been very different. Kaufman needs to use her striking and stay out-of-range of getting taken down by Rousey. As talented as I think Rousey is, her striking and chin still leave big question marks. She can get away with this in the women’s division, but Kaufman has the tools to test this eventually with the right gameplan. Sarah’s only loss has been to Marloes Coenen.
I still believe that Ronda Rousey will win via armbar, but this has a potential to be an entertaining fight. I consider Rousey’s fight with Tate the most entertaining female MMA bout I’ve ever seen.
However, the only women I see legitimately being able to beat Rousey is Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Santos. Santos has the powerhouse striking and size to stop Rousey. I can’t wait until she returns!
I wish these two racist pricks would go away forever, like both of them get run over by a train at the same time. I hate them both.
Since Buakaw Por Pramuk’s bitter split with his gym, he wants to only be known as Buakaw, and has previously said that he wanted to retire years ago, but his gym forced him to continue fighting.
I feel bad for Buakaw, as he has said, “I can stand tough training, but not poor treatment. It is about mind, not the body.”
Yet shortly after going in hiding from his gym, he is fighting again. This time with Rustem Zaripov on April 17th. Below is the video of the fight. Buakaw looks very good, but if his heart is no longer in fighting, and his soul is weary, I wish he would retire. He’s already had an amazing career, and there IS life after fighting.

Holly Holm has always impressed me with her natural athleticism, innate boxing talent, and her toughness. But her fight with frenchwoman Anne Sophie-Mathis is one of the most brutal female boxing matches I’ve ever seen.
Previously, I had never heard of Anne Sophie-Mathis, but she is a 5’11″ boxer from France, who I consider now the best female boxer in the world. Anne Sophie-Mathis knocked out Holm for the first time in her career in scary fashion. The match was unfortunately marred by a completely inept referee who could’ve gotten Holly Holm killed, literally. He failed to call an obvious knockdown, and seemed to fail to recognize that Holly Holm was out on her feet before she was knocked out, while sprawled on the ropes.
Anne Sophie-Mathis, on the other hand, seemed impervious to pain, and Holm was unable to hurt her at all. Sophie-Mathis just seemed bigger, stronger, and Holm couldn’t do anything to back her down. I see their rematch ending the same way, via KO by Anne Sophie-Mathis. The only way Holm can win is if she somehow manages to survive the entire match and wins by a shady decision. I credit Holm with being brave, but I don’t think there is ANY reason for a rematch. Watch the video of the fight below.
Vaunted prospect Seth Mitchell survived a scare Saturday night against Chazz Witherspoon, who was set up to be a stepping stone for Mitchell. I, personally, don’t think Seth Mitchell is all that great. If he was around during any other era of American heavyweights, I don’t think anyone would even talk about him. But, in the current state of heavyweight boxing, he garners press. Seth Mitchell is well-spoken, athletic, and has decent power. But, other than that, I don’t see anything in him that would make me think he could beat a Klitschko, or even a Chris Arreola at this point. Still, I’ve always been a fan of heavyweight boxing, so I follow Seth Mitchell’s career. I hope he wins a championship and proves me wrong.
Once upon a time, before Anderson Silva became one of the best MMA fighters in the world, he was a kickboxer. This video gives an interesting glimpse at Anderson Silva in his formative years. I believe that he could’ve been a pretty good kickboxer had he stuck with it. I’m not even sure what veered him towards MMA, since his strength is his stand-up game. Silva’s chin is also greatly under-rated. No one really talks about it, but I’ve seen him take some stiff shots and barely even seem phased. Although he says that he will never fight Jon Jones, I still think he has a better chance than anyone else to defeating Jon Jones.
